Pushed his love and passion for music, he proceeded to New York to realize his dreams.
He was deeply influenced by manipulating sounds into music that was created instrumentally by turntables, and hence pursued “Turntablism” there.
In 2000, he started his career professionally and quickly established himself as a Live DJ sharing the stages with renowned artists such as The Black Eyed Peas, COMMON, Omar, Julian Marly, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, etc.
As a professional solo turntablist, he became the first and only Japanese placed in 1st Runner up for DMC New York in 2005.
He returned to Japan later and swiftly caught the eyes of Toshi- Kubota, the pioneer of Japanese Soul and R&B music. Toshi Kubota featured DJ toMU in 2 of his tracks for his album “For Real?” released from SONY Music Entertainment in 2006.
Aside from being a world-class turntablist, he also started playing in the Hip Hop Band, OHGA Band in 2007, which emerged as “THE FIRST Japan CHAMPION” for “Redbull SOUNDCLASH” in 2008 - the first band style music competition in Japan.
In 2011, he moved to Singapore to expand his career in Asia.
Combined with new experiences in Singapore based on his previous career, quickly he was caught the attentions to perform not only for night clubs but also for big events such as 【Universal Studio- Singapore NYE COUNTDOWN】 for 2014-2015 and 2013-2014,
【ONE PIECE RUN Singapore】 in 2016.
