DJ toMW (Tomu Kitahashi)
Born in Tokyo, DJ toMW began his DJ journey at 17 and built his career across Japan and New York’s DJ and music scenes.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hunter College,
City University of New York ー grounding his career with both academic and real-world music experience.
In New York, he immersed himself in turntablism and live DJ culture,
performing alongside internationally acclaimed artists and achieving,
Vice Champion (1st Runner-up) at the DMC New York Final
as the first foreign competitor to do so.
After returning to Japan, he worked with leading artists and bands,
before relocating to Singapore in 2011, where he expanded his work
into large-scale events, music direction, and DJ education.
He is the Founder & Director of ShowNing DJ Lab, established in 2012,
and has trained DJs who have achieved top placements in major competitions
across Singapore and Japan.
In 2024, DJ toMW was selected as a World Top 20 Finalist
in the DMC Open Format category ー continuing his journey as a performer, while focusing on guiding the next generation of DJs and Music Producers.
